ABSTRACT

Companies must provide safe products and services to their customers and employees, and for companies that produce or market products, the lack of product safety is a risk. The whole process of manufacturing, loading, and transporting to distribution centers and to the stores, carries risks. The scandal caused several airlines to ban the phones in their aircraft because of the risk of fire. Cars, medicines, computers, and telephones are not the only products that can create risks. Companies that produce or market food and drinks should ensure the products are not contaminated. The polluting companies went bankrupt when they could not afford the compensation awarded to victims and the total cleaning of the contaminated area. There are many pollutants used by companies that have harmful consequences for individuals and communities, including chemicals, urban waste, petroleum, leaded gasoline, and ionizing radiation.
