ABSTRACT

The French army went to Egypt and was composed not only of people in arms but also of professors and researchers recruited to gather information on Egyptian culture. Culture consists of a set of habits, customs, and traditions based on beliefs and values that characterize an organization or a group of people. The ethical culture of an organization expands and is reinforced when leaders set a tone of integrity and earn the trust of employees. The establishment of a strong ethical culture is a continuous process that should involve all levels of leadership of the organization. Corporate culture plays an important role in attracting and retaining employees, in the relationship with suppliers, and in customer loyalty. One of the problems faced by global organizations is that corporate culture is usually stronger and better understood by the employees who work in the home office and its surroundings.
