ABSTRACT
The main script presented below introduces the child to the post office and then the four additional scripts can be used to undertake the more in-depth work. The hypnotherapist can choose to use just one additional script or some can be combined together. All the scripts offer the opportunity for children to express themselves in different ways and really help a child who finds it hard to talk verbally by offering alternative ways of ‘talking’. It is hoped that a child will continue to use some of the methods introduced when they are in the conscious state. The scripts can help children get rid of anything that is hindering them e.g. a memory of what has happened; a feeling or a fear. Whatever method the child has used to express him/herself – producing picture, writing letter – if they need to get rid of it, the additional script ‘Posting a Parcel’ can be used to finally get rid of it.
