ABSTRACT

This chapter will describe the performed empirical research aimed at the verification of the proposed organizational reliability model. The research methodology, chosen research sample (600 organizations from two business contexts—developing [Poland] and developed [Switzerland] economies, which will be analyzed together in order to ensure the differentiation of the sample) and identified variables will be described. The verification process will start with confirming the proper selections of business contexts and verification of scales for each proposed variable (with factor analysis, and Alpha-Cronbach indicator). After establishing that, the verification of each of three models (human resources, information technology and management) will be done. In particular, the impact of Type-2 HR reliability capabilities on, respectively, human resources, information technology and management reliability will be considered. It will be a basis for concluding whether the assumed relations are present and allow for the verification of the main organizational reliability model. Finally, the overall organizational reliability model will be verified using SEM (structural equation modeling) and path analysis, and it will be presented in order to fulfill an existing and expressed research gap.
