ABSTRACT

In many stages of electronic signal processing Fractional Delay is provided by Frac-tional Delay filters. The synthesis of a Fractional Delay filters for a specied fraction of time is challenging. In this work, dierential search method is applied for syn-thesising Fractional Delay filter. The filters synthesised using proposed technique is evaluated in terms of magnitude error. In addition to this the technique is also eval-uated by comparing with reported techniques. The Comparative analysis arms that the method proposed for fractional nite impulse response filter synthesis, is better than the reported methods.
