ABSTRACT
The finite element analyses of five different problems have been explained using ANSYS software. The calculation of the nodal heat input for different time intervals was explained in the previous chapter. In this chapter, the step by step procedure of running the analysis in ANSYS is illustrated. The generation of the nodes and elements, the assigning of heat input at the various nodes corresponding to different time steps and solving the problem for various time steps have been presented in detail. The complete input for the ANSYS using ANSYS parametric design language will help a fresh engineer in the entire analysis. The sample ANSYS output plots for different time intervals have also been presented.
