ABSTRACT

The cognitive dimension of fascism and nazism views the world in terms of a permanent struggle involving individuals, groups ("folks"), nations, and states. In such a world, only superior power, strength, and force will prevail. Violence is not only necessary and unavoidable, it is its own justification. Marxism/Leninism/guerrilla communism perceives the world as made up of productive human beings who are everywhere and at all times exploited and oppressed for the economic benefit of a few. The resultant class struggles end in successive revolutionary upheavals culminating in a classless society in which ownership is abolished and peace and harmony prevail. Conflict, in other words, is inherent in the economic and class structures of all societies.
