ABSTRACT

If we adopt the approach that those who will be good members of an ex ecutive team are those who are willing to learn, then we have to have something to teach them. Over the course of the next two chapters, I go over the findings of two particular questions I asked my subject matter experts in their capacity of providing a lens onto executive team func tioning. The first question asked them to describe an incident where an executive team was exceptionally ineffective. The second asked them to recount an incident where an executive team was particularly effective. The latter findings are described in the next chapter.
