ABSTRACT

Personality is the label applied to an individual’s habitual mode of dealing with the world in general and with other persons in particular. The traits making up a personality are numerous and varied. Many are best described as choices or dichotomies. Is one’s approach to life optimistic, or is it pessimistic? Are habits of personal hygiene slovenly, or fastidious? Are relationships with others marked by the gregariousness of an outgoing personality, or is the individual shy and inward-looking?
