ABSTRACT

In Chapters 2 through 5, we discussed the functions of the various parts of a library and the furniture needed in these areas. We talked about how these items of furniture should be designed and constructed in order to function properly and maintain their appearance through years of use. Discussed and compared were variants such as carrels with different configurations, in different sizes, and with a variety of accessories. In this chapter, information is presented to assist the reader in selecting, evaluating, and procuring specific pieces of furniture and equipment.
