ABSTRACT

Cassettes and screens require the most preventive care with monthly cleaning. On a quarterly basis, the cassette cleaning records will be reviewed to ensure that all of the cassettes were cleaned as required. By numbering each cassette next to the I.D. blocker and on the back of the cassette, the operator can quickly find cassettes with artifacts or dirty screens. Older and cassettes other than Kodak X-omatic cassettes are more prone to poor screen contact and light leaks. By reading the density of exposure with the densitometer, the speed of the cassettes can be compared. Regular speed cassette View box Lead aprons and lead shields 70 kVp and 2 mAs for Non-Bucky exposure 70 kVp and 10 mAs for Bucky exposure.
