ABSTRACT

The efficiency of intermanifold J→J′ luminescence depends, as was already noted in Chapter 1, on the quantum yield, which in turn depends on the probabilities of radiative ∑j′Ajj′ and nonradiative Wjj′ transitions (see Equation [1.1]). These factors, combined with the data on other spectroscopic characteristics (see, for instance, Equation [3.22]), determine in the main the conditions for SE excitation in the inter-Stark transitions of a given J → J′ channel and its energetic parameters. 1–7
