ABSTRACT
Often an engineer is asked to analyze a vehicular accident long after the accident has occurred. In such cases, the vehicles may have been sold long since as scrap, and the original accident scene may have been changed by a highway upgrade project. If this happened, the accident analysis must be done from available documentation. Primarily this will consist of the police accident report and the adjuster’s file information.
