ABSTRACT
In the areas of Missouri, eastern Kansas, eastern Oklahoma and northern Arkansas, there are, on average, between 50 and 60 days a year when thunderstorms exist in any given locality. However, this is relatively light in comparison to certain parts of Florida, which may have over 100 thunderstorms a year.
