ABSTRACT
In the first edition I tried to emphasize the common sense approach to systems engineering and in particular its application to the commercial aircraft domain. I still believe that common sense is important, but there is more to SE than common sense. It is a question of mindset; mindset is the collection of assumptions and philosophies that rule your life.
