ABSTRACT
Regression analysis is largely concerned with estimating or predicting the mean or average value of the dependent variable on the basis of known or fixed values of the independent variables. Simple regression analysis or Simple Linear Regression Model (SLRM) is defined as the process of drawing an estimated regression line to represent an association between two variables. This SLRM is also known as Bivariate linear regression, as it is used when we want to predict the value of a dependent variable based on the value of an independent variable. The dependent variable is also referred to as the Regressand or Explained or Response variable, whilst the independent variable is also referred to as the Regressor or Explanatory or Stimulus variable.
