ABSTRACT
The series is an Internet-based art project consisting of a still growing number of experimental films, each film imagining a different city never visited by the creators. The probes are used to convey inspiration, to provoke questions, and to simultaneously and paradoxically instill framings and evoke new associations. The interplay between chance and control has of course been a central theme for artists for a long time. Gaps between intentions and execution, between methodological work and the open-ended have been characterizing the creative processes of several artists since at least early modernism.
