ABSTRACT
Critical path networks are diagrammatic representations of related tasks that collectively constitute a project. Being derived directly from project management theory, they provide managers with important resource planning information regarding the effective use of time. As well as simplifying complex projects, critical path networks can estimate the length of the total project and help you to identify the ‘critical’ tasks that must be completed on time for the project to meet its scheduled finish date.
