ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we will both provide details of the current context in which work with perpetrators of domestic violence occurs and explore the predominant approaches to this work. Because work with perpetrators cannot be a distinct activity which does not have a relationship to victims and survivors of domestic violence, we will also outline how perpetrator work fits into a coordinated community approach to domestic violence. This particular discussion will be set within the context of public policy and current practice with both offenders and victims.
