ABSTRACT
In order to pass induction you have to meet all the QTS standards plus the six additional induction standards. The Standards set out what you must know, understand and be able to do. They apply to all NQTs in England. The Welsh induction standards and Scotland's Standard for Full Registration are in the Appendix. England's Standards are organised in three inter-related sections:
Professional Values and Practice;
Knowledge and Understanding;
Teaching — this section is broken down into three parts, which are underpinned by the values and knowledge covered in the first two sections:
planning;
monitoring and assessment;
teaching and class management.
