ABSTRACT

Having considered the various components and technologies that can go into the creation of a website, now it is time to turn to the actual construction of a site. As well as specifi c practice, this chapter will also consider the underlying guidelines for using such things as text, graphics, multimedia and navigation on your site. Although there are examples of doing this using Dreamweaver as a sample application, it is important to understand the underlying code involved (XHTML and CSS) that controls the structure and appearance of content on a site.
