Who is really to blame?: Biracial perspectives on inequality in America

What do people with both a Black and a White parent think about racial inequality?

Much research has been conducted in studying the way Blacks and Whites explain

racial inequality (e.g., Hunt 2007; McDonald 2001; Sigelman and Welch 1991;

Kluegel 1990). However, little research has been done to evaluate the explana-

tions given by those who are both Black and White. This chapter starts to fi ll that

void of knowledge.
