ABSTRACT

Reggio Emilia is a small city in the Emilia Romagna region of Northern Italy, approximately 40 miles north-west of Bologna. It is a largely prosperous area supporting a diverse range of manufacturing business and light industry, and has been a flourishing commercial centre since it was founded in Roman times. Reggio is a modern, dynamic city which combines economic prosperity with social and ecological responsibility. It prides itself on being outward-looking and forward-thinking and has traditionally cooperated well with neighbouring cities.
