ABSTRACT

Carbon dioxide is a colorless, odorless, faintly acidic gas that consists of one carbon atom double bonded to two oxygen atoms. It is commonly referred to by its molecular formula, CO2. At standard atmospheric temperature and pressure, it has a density 1.5 times that of air. CO2 is a very stable, nonreactive, nonflammable gas.
