ABSTRACT

Yeang pioneered a radically new climatically

responsive architecture for the tropics which

was to have a global influence on the debate

about an ecologically responsible world

architecture and which challenges the very

notion of an ‘international style’. The

Skyscraper Bioclimatically Considered (1996) sets

out his ideas for a climate-generated architecture

and changed our preconceptions of appro-

priate high-rise building forms for the tropics.
