ABSTRACT
Kite flying is a very ancient pastime and East Asian countries have a particularly long tradition. This first activity is based on the story of Sam and his Dad who make a kite together, but when they go out to fly it for the first time, Dad tells Sam that he is too small to fly the kite. Dad gets lifted into the air by the kite and a succession of people and animals try to pull it down, but they all get carried away too. Everyone tells Sam that the kite needs someone bigger, but in the end it is Sam who reels them all in and decides that the kite needs someone just like him!
