ABSTRACT

A discussion of the distributed arid team leadership model introduces the interview with Wendy Moss, Manager for the Centre for Teacher and Management Training at the City Lit in London. Wendy discusses leadership and management with reference to the ‘circle of friendship’ in adult education, and the group-based work In teacher training. She strongly believes that adult education can change people’s lives for the better, and is in favour of providing high quality learning opportunities for students. She is critical of some government targets in relation to literacy training, and feels that leaders need to have faith in their own vision of education, and to be sceptical of the continual changes In lifelong learning and education policy.
