ABSTRACT

This chapter reflects on leadership for the future, drawing together some of the theories from Chapters 1–6 and considering these by examining CEI/s Leadership Qualities Framework, with reference in particular to comments made by the interviewees. The four key characteristics of the Framework are examined in some detail. The chapter then moves on to consider lessons for future leaders, in preparation for the case study interviewee selections to be presented in Part Two. A new model for sectoral leadership is then suggested which builds on earlier work, and a Transforming Leadership Framework is put forward for the investigation of leadership spaces according to three main indicators, An explanation of the way in which this Framework could be used is provided, to reflect on the future possibility of developing more creative leadership spaces. The chapter then rounds off in preparation for Part Two.
