ABSTRACT

Opening up policy has been an important component of China’s general economic reform. The direct goals of this policy are expanding China’s international trade and attracting inflow of foreign investment, and thus promoting the economic growth and the improvement of people’s living standards. The active participation in the international cooperation has led China to a fast track of the integration into the modern global economic system. After almost three decades since it began the opening up policy and economic reform in 1978, China has become a world trade power toady in terms of its trade share in the world total.
