ABSTRACT
This is a simple activity to help children build a picture of the parts of the hour that we use to tell the time. Many people relate the terms – for example ‘5 past the hour’ and ‘20 to the hour’ – to shapes or fractions of a circle, rather than count the minutes between the minute hand and the 12 o’clock position.
