ABSTRACT
Having introduced number lines for subtraction with the previous activity, this activity builds a progression for children. The progression will have two aspects: making the numbers more complex (perhaps working with larger numbers or decimals), and/or removing some of the scaffolding or support (taking away the counters and/or the markings on the number line, so that children create their own).
