ABSTRACT

In this chapter the concepts micro-politics and segmentarity will be treated and connected to the preschools’ efforts to try to regain movement and experimentation in their practices. This chapter works with the first of the three decisive points, introduced in the previous section:

1. In the preschools there is an ongoing struggle to regain movement and experimentation in subjectivity and learning through putting into practice the idea of a relational field and through experimenting with new tools. For this to be theoretically workable, there is a need to work out how to turn the focus

on positions and change as moving from one position to another, into a focus on movement as something that foregoes positions and thereby open up possibilities for collective and intense experimentation.
