ABSTRACT

In the last two chapters we have been considering how schools, particularly those stuck in the performativist quagmire, become creative or rediscover the creativity they once had. In this chapter, we trace what has been happening over the last ten years in one school which shows the whole career of a journey from the practices associated with one discourse to those associated with another. Year by year, from heavily constrained beginnings, there has been a steady development in creative teaching and learning in the school to its position today as an ‘Innovative Practice Partnership’ (IPP) school and one of Ofsted’s ‘Particularly Successful Schools’.
