ABSTRACT

The previous chapters have demonstrated in a number of ways the complexities and anomalies to be found in the workings of the youth justice system in the early part of the new millennium. This concluding chapter will seek to reevaluate the key issues highlighted thus far in order to sketch some ideas about how we can move on from this fundamentally flawed and unsustainable state of affairs (see also Goldson and Muncie 2006).
