ABSTRACT
In the previous chapter, the reader was introduced to a model of temporal continuity between the nonhuman and the human, the archaic, the future and the present, that attempts to steer clear from the mainstream notion that all possibilities are there, before us, and all we have to do is choose one and actualise it. That idea of freedom, thought and action, the image of the decision tree (a time line bifurcating into branches, the actual world being just one among them) was found wanting, based upon a spurious metaphysics that moves confusingly between ontological indeterminacy and epistemic uncertainty, and condemned as non-realist in respect to time, future time and virtual communication or sensuality.
