ABSTRACT

This chapter begins with a summary of the lessons that can be learnt from IKEA in Chapters 1-6, followed by a comparison with other values-based firms (Starbucks, H&M, and Body Shop). Based on this comparison, the chapter then proposes several principles for successful values-based service businesses and illustrates these principles with examples from the studied companies. Finally, the chapter concludes by presenting a model for a values-based service business.
