The Costs of Soil Degradation on the Northwest Slopes of New South Wales, Australia

Estimates of the value of damages associated with dryland degradation are a key ingredient in determining the benefits of preventing damage and restoring land productivity. In this paper, a systems modelling approach is used to estimate the on-farm costs and benefits of a soil conservation programme in New South Wales.
