ABSTRACT
Classroom drama relies on students participating voluntarily in the work. Students cannot be forced to do drama. If there is no dramatic contract in place, where the students agree to participate in the creative work, experiment dramatically and suspend their disbelief to engage in the exploration of fictional contexts and characters, then the drama work cannot happen.
