ABSTRACT
Performance review has proved contentious from its first introduction into the teaching profession as peer appraisal in 1991. Where it is well done, it has proved its value for teachers and TAs. Crane’s research involved looking at review systems in the RAF, the Derbyshire Building Society and Toyota UK.
