ABSTRACT
The work of the Ombudsman and the petitions committee of the Parliament are complementary. If a matter is referred to the Ombudsman which should properly be dealt with by the petitions committee, the Ombudsman will, with the agreement of the complainant, transfer it to the petitions commit tee and vice versa.
