ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at ways of finding out what laws are planned, identifies the stages at which influence can be exerted to improve the content of future environmental laws and explains how this can be done. Most activities discussed can be carried out from anywhere in the world and do not require a continuing presence in Brussels. Groups with more funding and easy access to Brussels will be able to carry out more extensive lobbying in respect of proposed EC laws and this is also discussed briefly.
