ABSTRACT
In proposing that designers need to set the context, we suggest that making web-based communication engaging requires designers to prepare users for the experience and motivate them to participate by identifying an appropriate context for use, making changes to embed the communication in the context and acknowledging the inherent contextual dynamics. Fernheimer and her team moved through multiple iterations of a wiki for collaboration in pursuit of these goals.
