ABSTRACT
To indicate the nature of the phenomena I shall deal with in this lecture I shall begin with a very simple example. Let u
know the values of u t for discrete time points, e.g. for t=1,2,…, we say that u
a time series. It is such time series with values known for discrete points that we encounter in statistics.
