ABSTRACT
As far below the earth as the earth is below the heavens, 300 stones on top of them, a wall of bronze and triple layer of darkest Night surrounding them: Zeus was taking no chances when he locked the Titans into darkest Tartarus and left those mighty Hekatoncheires to guard their escape. But psychological contents are not so easily repressed. The tendency of opposites seems to be to draw together in conscious awareness, rather than remaining split apart. This fuller consciousness seems to be psyche’s purpose.
