ABSTRACT

All cognitive and behavioral therapies incorporate homework to a considerable degree, and in BA it is fundamental. Successful BA revolves around the assignment and completion of homework; every session should include some form of homework and BA is arguably not BA without homework. Some readers may be surprised at the time and energy BA clinicians devote to assigning, problem solving, and reviewing homework and the level of detail of these discussions. It is routine for these activities to take up a signi®cant portion of sessions and later sessions may consist of little other than reviewing previous homework and assigning new homework.
