ABSTRACT
If the past fifty years have been spent in developing geographical methods of survey and analysis, surely the time has now come to apply those methods towards the understanding and interpretation of some of the features of the world today. Further the time has surely come when those same methods of survey and analysis can be used in helping towards the solution of some of the great world problems.
