ABSTRACT
Here we can indicate some of the most important population measures to include in a typical NPER, with a brief discussion of their importance for the population-environment relationship. No national review will really be typical, and it is especially important to develop measures suited to the local situation. In any event, the following measures will usually be the minimum important conditions to note in any effort to integrate population into strategies for sustainability.
