The study of public management in the Netherlands. Managing complex networks and public governance

This chapter will follow the common format of this book by first describing the history of the Dutch state and administration, then looking at the development and current state of the academic study of public administration in the Netherlands, and finally giving an overview of the typical Dutch characteristics of the study of public management.
