ABSTRACT

Gestalt Body Psychotherapy was a second year module in the Body Psychotherapy training at Chiron, following the first year modules in Body and Energy work and Biodynamic Massage, alongside their second year sequels. Gestalt Body and its own third year sequel, Charge, were both originally formulated and taught by Rainer Pervöltz, influenced in particular by Jack Rosenberg (1985). When Pervöltz left, Gestalt Body was then developed by Gillian Kelly and Alun Reynolds whilst Charge developed separately under Michael Soth (see Soth’s chapter).
