ABSTRACT

The first reaction of most people to the term learning is something to do with going to school. Basically, school is the institution established by society to ensure that all members of that society acquire the learning necessary for its maintenance and continuation. All normal young people and adults have spent more than 10,000 hours of their lives at school, some have spent much more (Rutter et al. 1979), and this has, of course, decisively and radically influenced our growing up.
